Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Pocket Coach ("we", "us") covering your use of the Pocket Coach app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Not Medical Advice

Pocket Coach is a fitness tracking and education tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or physiotherapy advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Training programs, macro targets, rehab plans, readiness scores, and AI-generated suggestions are general information only.

Talk to a doctor or other qualified professional before starting a new exercise, diet, or rehab program — especially if you are pregnant, injured, have a medical condition, or take medication.
Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or chest discomfort.
You train at your own risk and are responsible for choosing loads, volumes, and diets that are safe for you.

2. AI Features

Some features use artificial intelligence to generate text such as coaching notes, programs, and summaries. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for you. Review it with your own judgement before acting on it. AI features only run after you have agreed to share the relevant data with our AI provider — see the Privacy Policy.

3. Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Give accurate information when you sign up, and don't impersonate anyone.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → App → Danger Zone.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Plans. Pocket Coach is free to use. Optional paid plans (Pro and Coach) unlock extra features. Current prices, and any free trial, are shown in the app before you buy.
Free trial. Where a plan offers a free trial, your paid subscription starts when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you in advance about any price increase.
Buying on iPhone or iPad. Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are sold through Apple's App Store and charged to your Apple ID. Apple's terms apply to that purchase. The subscription renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
Buying on the web or Android. Subscriptions bought on our website or in the Android app are processed by Stripe. Manage or cancel them from Progress → Tools → Subscription.
Cancelling. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Deleting your account cancels a Stripe subscription, but not an App Store subscription — cancel that with Apple first.
Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we don't give credits for partial billing periods.
Right of withdrawal (UK and EU consumers). You may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of subscribing. For App Store purchases, request this from Apple. If you start a paid period and ask us to provide the Service straight away, you may lose the right of withdrawal or owe a proportionate amount for the time used.

5. Community and User Content

You may post content such as a profile photo, name, bio, group posts, shared programs, and leaderboard entries ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content and give us a licence to host, display, and share it within the Service as needed to run it.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post content that is:

harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or violent;
illegal, or that infringes anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy;
spam, scams, or advertising;
dangerous health advice, such as promoting eating disorders or unsafe drug use.

Tap any user's avatar to open their profile card, where you can report them, hide their photo, or block them. Use the ••• menu on a group post or a group to report it. Group owners can delete posts in their group. Blocking hides their profile, posts, and leaderboard entries from you, ends any friendship, and stops friend requests between you. We filter names, bios, group names and group posts for objectionable words, and we review reports within 24 hours and will remove content that breaks these Terms and suspend or remove the accounts responsible. 6. Coaches and Clients

If you connect with a coach, the coach can see the data you choose to share with them, such as check-ins and training logs. Coaches are independent — they are not employed by us, and we are not responsible for their advice. You can remove a coach connection at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

Don't misuse the Service. That includes trying to access other people's accounts or data, interfering with or overloading the Service, scraping it, reverse-engineering it except where the law allows, or using it for anything illegal.

8. Our Content

The app, its design, exercise library, programs, e-books, and other content we provide belong to us or our licensors. Premium content is for your personal use and may not be copied or redistributed.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put other users at risk. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as 1, 8, 10, and 11) continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and running but don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any fitness result will be achieved.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injury resulting from exercise or diet choices you make, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU or in the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in the courts where you live.

12. App Store Terms

If you downloaded Pocket Coach from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to it. To the extent any warranty applies and the app fails to meet it, you may notify Apple, and Apple's only obligation is to refund the purchase price of the app (if any). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
