Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Pocket Coach collects the following information to provide our fitness tracking service:

• Account information: Username and password (password is hashed and never stored in plain text)
• Fitness data: Workout logs, bodyweight entries, macro tracking, sleep logs, readiness scores, and progress photos
• App preferences: Training mode, unit preferences, theme settings, and archetype selection

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information unless explicitly provided.

2. How We Store Your Data

Your fitness data is stored in two places:

• Locally on your device: Most data is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted unless you explicitly sync.
• Cloud storage: Account credentials and synced data are stored securely in Airtable, a SOC 2 Type II certified cloud platform.

3. AI Features

Pocket Coach uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide coaching insights, program generation, and check-in summaries. When you use AI features:

• Your fitness data (workout logs, check-in scores, bodyweight) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate personalized responses
• Anthropic does not use your data to train their models
• AI-generated content is not stored by Anthropic after processing

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is only shared when:

• You explicitly share a workout template or program with a friend via the Friends feature
• You are connected to a coach who can view your check-in data
• Required by law

5. Data Export & Deletion

You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Export Your Data (CSV or full JSON backup). To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Pocket Coach does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party advertising. We do not track your browsing activity.

7. Children's Privacy

Pocket Coach is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
